We provide the following services:
Free breakfast at 29 E Walnut St., Lancaster, PA 17602 (8:30 AM - 9:45 AM every weekday, even on holidays)
Hot showers are available from 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM and again from 10:45 AM until everyone in line has finished.

How can I volunteer at Anchor Lancaster?
We welcome volunteers to serve in a variety of ways, from preparing meals to assembling shower kits for our guests. To get started, please complete the Volunteer Interest Form. How can I get help if I am facing homelessness?
Our case management is available during weekdays to help connect you with resources and next steps toward stability. If you are seeking case management support, please begin by filling out the intake form below. This form is not monitored as an emergency service, and response times may vary based on staff capacity and the volume of requests. A member of our team will follow up as soon as able during regular weekday hours.
Can I donate food or supplies?
While we greatly appreciate your generosity, we are unable to accept general food or supply donations due to space limitations and the specific needs of our programs. However, sometimes throughout the year we have opportunities to give specific donations. Please visit our Get Involved page for the ways you can support the needs of our guests at Anchor Lancaster. What is a Code Blue and Code Red?
A Code Blue or Code Red is declared when the weather conditions are dangerously cold or hot, and we extend our hours and services to ensure individuals have a safe place to seek refuge. During Code Blue or Code Red, we may increase our capacity in the Day Center and offer additional support to those in need. Stay updated on our social media for specific details during seasons of extreme temperatures.
How does Anchor Lancaster collaborate with other organizations?
Anchor Lancaster works closely with a variety of community partners to offer comprehensive services to our guests. We collaborate with local healthcare providers, shelters, food banks, and social service agencies to ensure individuals have access to the resources they need to build a stable future. If you are part of a social service agency and would like to collaborate with us, please email Kelly@anchorlancaster.org.
Where does Anchor Lancaster obtain the food served?
Most of our food comes from the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank. For items not available there, we purchase what’s needed from local stores to ensure we have everything we need to serve our guests. We are always grateful to receive gift card donations for Aldi to help us offset the cost of groceries.
How many people are served by Anchor Lancaster each month?
We serve between 130-190 people every day, providing approximately 3,000 meals each month.
Who qualifies to eat breakfast at Anchor Lancaster?
EVERYONE is welcome to enjoy breakfast at Anchor Lancaster. We’re here to serve anyone in need.
What makes Anchor Lancaster a safe space?
Safety is a top priority at Anchor Lancaster, and we’re proud to have our Guest Services team from Clydesdale LLC providing security. They’re here each day to assist guests and maintain a peaceful, respectful environment. Their hard work and dedication help foster a sense of mutual trust and respect for everyone.
